Outside Territory Sales / Business Development Manager / Life Sciences Specialist
As a Business Development Manager you will be working closely with GreenPages clients, aligning appropriate technology solutions to their corporate goals and objectives. This is an outside sales position where you will be regularly meeting with C-Level individuals at our clients site, to better determine their unique business drivers and challenges. This position works in a team environment, collaborating with Inside Account Executives, Project Managers and Sales Engineers.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years outside sales experience in the IT arena with emphasis in the Life Sciences markets as well as strong familiarity with compliance regulations associated with that market. Candidate should also have existing relationships with clients and vendors in the Life Sciences market. In addition, candidates must be self-motivated, eager to succeed and possess strong communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop Customer Relationships while identifying Sales opportunities
- Work extensively with Inside Account Executives clients understanding their business objectives and IT goals
- Forecasting and achieving sales targets and revenue goals
- Mentor Sales Team by sharing technical knowledge, sales skills and communication skills
- Help coordinate and conduct sales negotiations
- Develop and drive sales strategies at account level
- Provide motivational support to Sales Team
- Participate in company meetings communicating Sales Successes
Knowledge, skill and abilities:
- Ability to understand the products, processes and core competencies of GreenPages
- Understanding all aspects of the sales cycle
- Broad technical knowledge of corporate infrastructure. Any specializations in the following areas are a plus: Security, Storage, Server-Based Computing, NOS Services and Procurement of Hardware and Software.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated and energetic
- Must posses excellent communication skills, both oral and written
