Pre-Sales Technical Support Representative
GreenPages has an immediate opening for a Pre-Sales Technical Support Representative. Working in partnership with our solutions architects and sales force, the role of the Technical Support rep is to support the increase of sales, client satisfaction and confidence, by providing pre-sales technical support on hardware and software.
Other responsibilities of this role include:
- Work with our solutions architects to finalize storage, server and infrastructure solutions.
- Work with vendors, distributors and web based tools to build quotes based on solutions architect’s specifications.
- Research technical questions and confirm compatibility to ensure complete and accurate quotes are provided based on solutions architects specifications.
- Specify server components based on client information, to ensure function and performance requirements are met. Build quotes for our sales staff.
- Create configured Filemaker quotes including specifying hardware components and adding our configuration SKU’s as well as any needed notes for our configuration center.
- Educate and direct sales force regarding questions and course of action to pinpoint clients hardware needs.
- Produce quotes based on hardware related technical requests from customers. This support covers a wide range of manufactures in the storage, server, pc, laptop and networking technologies.
Minimum requirements include:
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Strong understanding of storage technologies.
- Strong understanding of server components and technologies.
- Solid understanding of PC and networking technologies.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with people of various needs and skill sets, including solutions architects, our sales force, venders and partners.
Ideal candidates will possess a degree in computer science or management in addition to two plus years in a customer service, support or sales role or one year of computer related experience in a professional environment, such as help desk support.
