Vblock Reference Architecture. What Is it & Why Should I Care?

In this webinar, we'll discuss VMware, Cisco, and EMC’s new joint venture: the Virtual Computing Environment and how their new Vblock systems can help organizations build private clouds.

What is Vblock? Simply put, Vblock is a reference architecture for virtualization which consists of production ready, integrated and tested units (blocks) of virtualized infrastructure.

Because these different “blocks” are already preconfigured, they enable a seamless extension of the environment that lessens the complexity and cost sometimes associated with virtualization.

We’ll do a technology overview of the components that make up the Vblock: Cisco UCS blade system, the Cisco Nexus 1000v, and the EMC Symmetrix V-Max and CLARIION CX4, plus talk about how this technology will help organizations reap the benefits of private clouds—sooner than later.
