FortiGate-620B

The FortiGate–620B, which brings record–setting performance to the enterprise segment, is the second in a family of enterprise–class products that leverages the accelerated performance and expanded network capabilities typical of Fortinet’s highest–end systems. With the introduction of security–specific ASIC network processors previously reserved for high–end products, the FortiGate–620B sets new performance records with 16 Gbps firewall and 12 Gbps VPN throughput. Expandable up to 24 ports, the FortiGate–620B appliance offers the highest port density in its class, which is the key driver behind the flexibility that enterprise companies can now have for internal network security segmentation. The FortiGate–620B appliance integrates eight core security functions, including antivirus, intrusion prevention (IPS), spyware prevention, antispam, Web content filtering, traffic shaping, VPN and firewall. Customers can choose to purchase FortiGate appliances for all of these functionalities, or integrate just a few functions.

FortiDB–1000B

The FortiDB-1000B appliance, the first in a family of security appliances dedicated to database vulnerability assessment (VA), is a mid-enterprise product designed to "harden" databases by detecting weaknesses in passwords, access privileges and configuration settings. As databases are fast becoming the next big target for cybercriminals due to the sensitive and valuable information they hold, there is an increasing need for powerful tools that can detect and help guard against data breaches. This is especially critical for vertical industries such as retail, which require compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) to protect customers’ personal and credit card information. The FortiDB-1000B VA appliance provides an automated, cost–effective and centralized solution for database application security, with evaluation and remediation advice for common compliance requirements built in. By identifying weaknesses in databases that can be open for exploitation, the FortiDB appliance helps to prevent the theft of proprietary and personal data by what might appear to be legitimate users.
