GreenPages Technology Solutions Hires Network Security Expert
Former CTO, industry speaker, NSA engineer, Chris Harrington to provide IT solutions to customers
KITTERY, Maine—Aug. 30, 2007—GreenPages Technology Solutions, a leading provider of IT services and products, announced today that Christopher Harrington has joined the company as a senior solutions architect. He will be responsible for consulting, designing, and implementing technology solutions for GreenPages’ customers across the United States.
Specifically, Harrington will provide organizations with expert counsel on a wide range of networking and security applications and products from an engineering design perspective. "Whether to meet compliance mandates, mitigate the risks of natural disaster, or protect against deliberate security threats, organizations in every industry have drastically increased their network security initiatives," said Harrington. "I’m excited to join GreenPages to help customers solve these technology–centric security challenges."
Harrington is CISSP certified and a recognized expert in the security field having spoken on security topics for SANS, SecureWorld Expo, and NERCOMP/Educause. Prior to joining GreenPages, Harrington held senior IS and security positions at various organizations, including CTO of AllSecure, a prominent network access control company. He also worked at NitroSecurity, a network intrusion prevention company, first as director of their Threat Analysis Center then later as CTO. Harrington began his security career as a network engineer for the National Security Agency.
Harrington will provide pre–sales engineering support, in–house training, and client presentations; manage vendor partner relationships; and perform field services where appropriate. Harrington is currently involved with the Internet Engineering Task Force’s Network Endpoint Assessment working group; is vice president of the New Hampshire chapter of the Information Systems Security Association; and a member of both the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the FBI’s Infragard program.
