Kittery, ME, October 11th, 2019—GreenPages, a leading systems integrator and cloud services company, announced today that it has appointed IT industry veteran David Teplow as Director of the company’s Data & Analytics Services practice. Teplow is chartered with building upon GreenPages’ well-established partnerships with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft to offer expert guidance and assistance to clients who want to modernize their database or data warehouse environments.
An early adopter of Relational Database Management Systems, Teplow has devoted the past 30+ years to helping companies select and implement the optimal technology for managing data. “The data that's generated today is astronomical not only in size, but in the sheer variety of sources and structures,” said Teplow. “Traditional technologies built to handle structured
data (names, prices, dates, addresses) simply aren’t effective for modern data types such as web logs, social media, product reviews, audio, video, etc. GreenPages’ goal is to help clients improve the performance and time to insight of their systems of intelligence, and significantly reduce the cost and complexity of operating their systems of record.”
Prior to joining GreenPages, Teplow founded and led two successful companies, Database Technologies (1986-1999) and Integra Technology Consulting (2000-2019). He is also a founding member and past president of the Northeast Oracle Users Group and served on the board of the Independent Oracle Users Group. Teplow is a contributor to The Data Warehousing Institute’s Business Intelligence Journal, and his article, “The Database Emperor Has No Clothes,” appeared in its annual “Best of BI” issue.
